Gilberto Rodriguez Ramirez was born in Brooklyn, NYC and spent a great deal of his childhood on 112 Street in Spanish Harlem where he had the opportunity to listen and learn from many of the Rumberos from that era. He joined his first band at the tender age of 14 and from there he started sitting in with several no name bands but was gigging all over NYC until he got his big opportunity with “ERNIE AGUSTO AND LA CONSPIRACION”. Now he lives in Puerto Rico where he finally decided that he would do his own thing as a vocalist and this is the first track “Como Fue K Comenzo” from his new CD “Nacimiento de un Tambor”.
